hi-
you know, i was terrified during all of those middle of the night ventures out to the outhouse as a child. i would beg matt to go with me out of fear of the night. absolute, raw terror. do you know, even in high school (when we had running water) i continued to pull the shower curtain back to see if anything evil was hiding there to "get" me. this from the girl who could take on anything (ha!).
in reading your memories i am of course, reminded of my own. some wonderful, some nearly too difficult to revisit--but, when i reflect on my early childhood i am always struck at the situations we found ourselves in at age 2-3-4-5...
and i wonder, what kind of person would i be otherwise?
