Nothing is Ever as Beautiful

Now and then on this little blog I talk about a little acting class I used to take and some of the wonderful people I met there. Like the guy in the UPS shirt. Then there was this girl, who’s talent as an actress was immediately apparent and who’s added talent as a writer became even more clear in the cases we were required or allowed to write and perform our own material. Her own scenes were often uncomfortably (in a good way) autobiographical in nature. Krista was always brave as an actress, always pushing her own limits and even on the occasion she crashed into those limits, as we all do in a good class, she always inspired and I think many of us, especially myself, felt we could be so much better if we could be that brave.

Well, if you pay attention to the little column on the left, you’ll have noticed Krista’s name under, “Peeps”. I checked it out today and upon reading her most recent post, I could not help but comment on it here. It was just too wonderful. And it hit home in a wonderful way. I’m not going to say anything else, about her or the material. Just read it. She says it all with a lot more elegance and skill.

“nothing is ever as beautiful as when you turn around and never look back.”

The old acting class is no more but I do feel blessed to still be able to watch Krista being uncomfortably honest, brave and inspirational. Thanks Krista.

i just wish crashing into those limits didn’t hurt so much.
this was so beautiful, ben, especially coming from someone whose opinion i hold higher than most. if i were there with you in person i would totally punch you. not in a mean way but in a real butch ‘i’m embarrassed so i’ll hit you and then buy you a beer’ kind of way.
    thank you.
