In It

It’s been a minute. Let’s go over this again.

I’m in it for the art. I’m in it for the uncertainty and the doubt and the discovery and the whole fucking mystery of it all. I’m in it for the camaraderie and the collaboration and the fellowship. I’m in it for 5am mornings and 4am nights and dark roads and flashlights and rain down the back of my collar.

I’m in it for the summit push and the warm sleeping bag someplace down there underneath all those clouds. I’m in it for the times I can’t quite remember the way back to the parking lot and I’m in it for the first rays of sunlight through the trees. I’m in it for not knowing how any of this will turn out in the end and I’m in it for pushing on anyways. With everything I’ve got. I’m all in it.
